  1. Torrington over Kennedy 5-4. Should be a decent game. These two teams must get off to a faster start to have a chance at making states.

Seymour over Wilby easily 12-2. Wildcats roll over Wilby. A snoozer in the valley.

Watertown over Crosby 4-1. One of the better games of the day. I've just got a feeling that behind solid pitching and timely hitting, the Tribe will pull this one out.

Wolcott over Ansonia 6-3. Two undefeated teams here out of the Brass. Could be a very interesting game, but with Kane on the mound, the Eagles prevail.

Sacred Heart over Naugatuck 2-1. I've picked the Hearts every game this season and they've let me down both times. I think they will win this one though. I see a nice run coming on soon for the Hearts.

Holy Cross over Woodland 5-1. Not a promising start to the season for the Hawks. Murphy will be on the mound for the Crusaders and he is so tough to hit. Hawks have had trouble hitting consistently.

Overall, it should be a great day of HS baseball here in the NVL!
